Kooeh: A Timeless Delight

Kooeh: A Timeless Delight is a cozy cooking game for PC and Xbox by Twilight Foundry Games, set in a world inspired by South-East Asia. Think Overcooked without the stress: you cook your way through a series of kitchens and meet a cast of cute animal characters along the way. It was nominated for two awards at the SEA Games Awards 2026: Best Music/Score and Best Storytelling. I composed the music and handled the sound design and implementation for the game.

The score needed to stay warm and relaxed to fit the cozy feel, while also showing the game's South-East Asian roots. To do that, I blended instruments from different cultures, including the Bansuri (Indian bamboo flute) and Yangqin into a gentle, quirky soundtrack.

I also built an Animal Crossing-style dialogue system for the game's characters. It turns voice recordings into the babble each animal "speaks" in, so every character has its own personality. This was my first official audio programming credit, and I voiced some of the animals myself.
